    Our Story

Can you imagine Waupaca County having 83 rural one-room schoolhouses?  Do you remember when each township in the county had a Dance Hall Inspector?   A new house cost $5,600 and gas cost 15 cents per gallon.

That was how the landscape of Waupaca looked back in 1946.  Since those days, Faulks Bros. Construction has been literally shaping Waupaca County, central Wisconsin, and the Fox Valley with its now highly-diversified construction and materials supply businesses.

Faulks Bros. started as a two-man undertaking.  Co-founders Syd and Oliver Faulks began delivering sand and gravel to customers around the Waupaca area with a couple shovels and an old Army truck.  Today the third generation of Faulks is helping the family-owned company move ahead with its new ventures.

Many of Faulks Bros. services still focus on assisting residents with their land improvement needs.  Customers can come to Faulks Bros.’ yard to pick up decorative stone, topsoil, or even a bucket of sand, to use for projects around their houses.  For larger projects, their experienced employees will bring equipment to your jobsite for basements, driveways, grading, pond digging, demolition, and other site preparation work.

In addition to its local services, Faulks Bros. also owns divisions that operate a little further from home.  The company’s SportZmix Solutions division has done golf course construction in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Mexico, and most states in the U.S.  The Waupaca Sand & Solutions division sells specialty sands and maintenance materials to golf courses and athletic fields in Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas, and other states.

To thank the communities it has served for over so many years, Faulks Bros. makes service a priority.  The company donated the excavating for the construction of Waupaca’s Swan Park.  After the Lake Delton flooding, Faulks Bros. contributed Sur-Hop Infield Mix to restore two baseball fields washed away by the water.

On behalf of all its employees, owners Randy and Bob Faulks thank the community for the opportunity to be of service in the past and, hopefully, in the future.

“Leave the woodpile higher than you found it.”
    —Syd Faulks, Company Co-Founder

Innovative Services started in 2004 in the Green Bay, Wisconsin area with the mission and vision to give those with developmental disabilities the best quality of life in the community. Innovative Services has continued to grow throughout the state of Wisconsin, with regional administrative offices in Green Bay, Appleton, Stevens Point, La Crosse and Superior. Although the organization started out working primarily with individuals with developmental disabilities, we don’t have a rigid approach and have expanded our supports to people of all ages with varying needs.

The company was founded on a desire to provide a safe and healthy environment for individuals needing flexible, accessible and self-directed supports while creating opportunities for maximum independence through every service offered. Fulfilling this mission depends on a continuing vision and pursuit of quality service by our team of employees who use their energies and collective talents to make a difference every day.

To provide a “possibility for every person” with an ever-evolving approach to care, each service or support provided by our employees, caregivers, family members or friends must rely upon someone utilizing their own talents, resources, energies and ideas for improvement. Fulfilling our corporate mission depends on shared visions, a never-ending pursuit of quality and a team of qualified individuals who never doubt that thoughtful, committed people can change lives for the better.

Presto Products, Specialty Division, has been manufacturing in Weyauwega since 1971 and added a second production facility in Waupaca in 2016. We also share an office with our Presto Consumer Products division in Appleton.

We have the advantage of being part of a larger company, Reynolds Consumer Products, so we can leverage resources including safety, benefits, and procurement programs. Presto’s Consumer Products division makes store-brand trash bags and food bags and more. Our branded consumer products include both Reynolds Wrap® aluminum foil and Hefty® trash bags.

We produce plastic tracks and sliders that are applied to flexible packages for many brand-name products including sausage, cheese, and laundry pods.  The closures add value to the package and helps keep food fresher.  We also introduced the Child-GuardTM child resistant slider in 2014 to prevent small children from getting access to laundry detergent pods. The sliders are used on famous-name detergent packages not only nationally, but internationally as well!

We are also a leading manufacturer of high quality construction products – tough plastic geocell mats that interlock and can be filled with gravel or dirt/plants to help resolve soil and water erosion problems.  Presto Geosystems® products are used to build temporary roads for the mining industry, prevent soil erosion on slopes for golf courses, and stabilize shorelines.

The key to our longevity is our employees. Our employees work safely to produce a quality product that is always delivered on time.  Our customers rely on us for top-quality products, delivered on time and we do it well.

Many members of our team have spent their entire career at Presto. Presto’s work environment includes; manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, scheduling, HR, supply chain/logistics, finance, and research & development.

The Wisconsin Veterans Home at King is where love of country merges with 130 years of Caring for America’s Heroes. All branches of the armed forces are represented here. Each branch has its own esprit de corps, but all are united as veterans of this great country in a community with camaraderie borne out of shared military experience.

The Wisconsin Veterans Home at King is a long term and rehabilitative care facility caring for veterans, a veteran’s spouse, a veteran’s widow and Gold Star Parents (parents who have lost a son or daughter in combat). We offer quality medical and nursing care that enhances quality of life. Our highly trained and dedicated staff strive to meet the unique needs of veterans by providing compassionate care built on the foundation of integrity, honor and respect.

Spanning across 42 acres of the richest, most picturesque scenery, the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King is a gem like no other. Exquisitely nestled between the bluest of blue spring-fed lakes, embraced by lush green rolling hills, the sights and sounds of this magical setting will take your breath away. This unsurpassed beauty is not commonly home to a long term care facility, but how appropriate a setting providing peace and tranquility for those who bore the battle.
